Morgen Wurde
Después de “Erwuchs”, (Format, 2025); un disco de suave pulso rítmico y atmósfera inspiradora -junto con Tis y Tetsuroh Konishi- el compositor alemán Wolfgang Röttger aka Morgen Wurde, sacó el álbum “Von Jetzt An” (“A partir de ahora”) -el décimo en su carrera- publicado por el sello inglés Frosti en diciembre, 2025.
Este nuevo disco bajo ascendencia neoclásica, profundiza las voces aladas y paisajes sonoros que transitan entre lo prístino y la oscuridad, la melancolía y el optimismo.
En esta placa también toca la trompeta el artista japonés Tetsuroh Konishi y la otra colaboradora frecuente, la vocalista, letrista y compositora de ascendencia filipina y afincada en Estados Unidos, María Estrella Aggabao y David Strother en violín eléctrico. Otro artista invitado es el violinista Georges-Emmanuel Schneider.
Arranca el álbum con “Erhob”; un tema de 10 minutos de duración en el que comienzan a volar las bellos acordes del violín de Georges-Emmanuel Schneider que se encuentra y se acopla con acierto en “Überstieg”, que destaca a Schneider y a Maria Estrella con su voz alada que alcanza a surcar los cielos. “Auftat” presenta a Tetsuroh Konishi con su trompeta que deja una larga estela en el ambiente y que penetra abriéndose camino en “Entsprang”. En tanto “Gewann” muestra una atmósfera inquietante cargada de polvo enrarecido. En “Hiernach” se destaca nuevamente la trompeta de Konishi, en tanto el sinuoso violín eléctrico de Strother fluye con gracia.
En “Entschleierte” Konishi balbucea la trompeta y viaja por las notas graves y altas con total soltura. En “Trug Hinaus” asciende del firmamento la voz etérea de Maria Estrella, llenando de colores todo lo que está a su alrededor. En “Overholsen” que finaliza el álbum, Strother comienza a dibujar líneas melódicas con cautela en un espacio inquietante.
«Von Jetzt An» fija nuevos derroteros en la música de Morgen Wurde; a aquellos con arreglos orquestales que configuran una mayor amplitud en la paleta sonora y un mayor dramatismo en su esencia musical.
Following ‘Erwuchs’ (Format, 2025), an album with a gentle rhythmic pulse and inspiring atmosphere – alongside Tis and Tetsuroh Konishi – German composer Wolfgang Röttger, aka Morgen Wurde, released the album ‘Von Jetzt An’ (From Now On) – the tenth in his career – published by the English Frosti imprint, in December 2025.
The full-length disc also features Japanese artist Tetsuroh Konishi on trumpet and another frequent collaborator, US-based vocalist, lyricist and composer of Filipino descent María Estrella Aggabao, with David Strother on electric violin. Another guest artist is violinist Georges-Emmanuel Schneider.
This new album, with its neoclassical essence, delves deeper into the ethereal voices and soundscapes that shift between purity and darkness, melancholy and optimism.
The album kicks off with ‘Erhob,’ a 10-minute track in which the beautiful chords of Georges-Emmanuel Schneider’s violin begin to fly, finding their place and fitting in perfectly on ‘Überstieg,’ which highlights Schneider and Maria Estrella with her soaring voice that reaches the heavens. ‘Auftat’ features Tetsuroh Konishi on trumpet, leaving a long trail in the atmosphere and penetrating its way into ‘Entsprang’. Meanwhile, ‘Gewann’ has an unsettling atmosphere charged with rarefied dust. On ‘Hiernach’, Konishi’s trumpet stands out again, while Strother’s sinuous electric violin flows gracefully.
On ‘Entschleierte,’ Konishi stammers on the trumpet and travels through the low and high notes with complete ease. On ‘Trug Hinaus,’ Maria Estrella’s ethereal voice ascends from the firmament, filling everything around her with bright colours. On ‘Overholsen,’ which finalize the album, Strother begins to cautiously draw melodic lines in an unsettling space.
‘Von Jetzt An’ sets a new course for Morgen Wurde’s music, with orchestral arrangements that create a broader sound palette and greater drama in its musical essence.
