Originario de Bradford y actualmente radicado en Yorkshire, Gavin Miller —mejor conocido por su proyecto worriedaboutsatan— presenta su vigésimo álbum de estudio: “No Knock No Doorbell”. Lanzado el 27 de marzo de 2026 bajo el sello This Is It Forever, este trabajo conmemora dos décadas de trayectoria. La apertura con «A Looming Spectre» ya presenta un álbum que navega entre guitarras cristalinas y atmósferas sosegadas. Destacan los pulsos rítmicos en temas como «Before Your Eyes (We Are Your Ancestors)» y el cierre del disco, «The Dream Is Over», una pieza de pop onírico que cuenta con la voz de Gavin Miller.
En «Inside A Dream I – What Year Is This», los ecos de la guitarra nos transportan a pasajes plácidos, al igual que lo hacen las texturas electrónicas de «We Talk About It Often», «Icelandic Hardcore» e «Inside A Dream II – Blinking Backwards».
El bajo en «Piece By Miserable Piece» desprende un aire ochentero que evoca a los primeros The Cure y Echo & the Bunnymen. For this project, Miller collaborated with renowned British documentary filmmaker Adam Curtis. Curtis lends his distinctive voice to a haunting spoken-word piece on the opening track, ‘A Looming Spectre,’ and returns to bookend the work on the closing track, ‘The Dream Is Over.’
‘A Looming Spectre’ sets a cinematic tone, navigating between crystalline guitar lines and cozy atmospheres.
