Este es el cuarto lanzamiento de Cristal en el sello dirigido por Bruce Adams en formato de descargable digital y séptimo desde su formación que se compone de Bobby Donne (de Labradford), Gregory Darden y Anthony Jimmy.
‘Apostate’ contiene tres largas partes y cada una de ellas incluye varios temas.
Me parecía que debajo de los drones y las distintas capas de sonidos que se entretejen en el primer tema, había un atisbo a una melodía que provenía del mundo árabe y precisamente cuando se estaba a mitad de camino, emergen unos cánticos religiosos.
La segunda parte empieza —sobre una base de drones— una atmósfera oscura que luego va desplegando sutiles y repetitivas melodías, con suaves ruidos de golpes metálicos.
La tercera parte provee un ambiente brumoso, con mayor ruido y sostenidos drones.

This is the fourth release of Cristal in this label run by Bruce Adams which comes in digital download format – and their seventh since they started. Cristal consists of Bobby Donne (of Labradford), Gregory Darden and Anthony Jimmy.
‘Apostate’ contains three long parts and each one includes several tracks.
I felt that behind the drones and layers of sounds that weave in the first part there was a hint of a melody coming from the Arab world and just when the track was halfway, a religious chant emerged.
In the second part starts a dark ambient which unfolds subtle and repetitive melodies with soft metallic banging noises.
The third part provides an atmospheric drone and abstract drifting sonorities, quite noisy and towards the end a sparkling and soft melody fades out.
