David Cordero
David Cordero es un activo músico gaditano quien desde 2012 posee una discografía de 37 discos que comprende trabajos en solitario y colaboraciones con reconocidos artistas del ambient como Miguel Otero, Ian Hawgood, Pepo Galán, Carlos Ferreira, Warmth, entre otros.
David en esta oportunidad entrega nueve piezas que en sus palabras, fueron “trabajadas desde la quietud y con mucha tranquilidad… Durante la grabación me influyeron algunas grabaciones de campo que hice durante un paseo por un sendero junto al mar, aquí en Cádiz”. Ya me puedo imaginar ese paseo por aquella bella ciudad portuaria andaluza, cargada de una historia milenaria.
En “Melodías Susurradas”, como es habitual en los trabajos de este músico español, el sello ambient está escrito a fuego y alma, con esas notas temblorosas y puras que se desprenden de un trabajo sigiloso a través de la síntesis modular. Y si bien los temas son de corta duración (de dos a tres minutos), parecen disolverse en el infinito.
David Cordero con cada entrega nos muestra que sus ideas musicales tienen muchos vericuetos por donde se expande su creatividad.
David Cordero is an active musician from Cadiz who since 2012 has a discography of 37 albums that includes solo works and collaborations with renowned ambient artists such as Miguel Otero, Ian Hawgood, Pepo Galán, Carlos Ferreira, Warmth, among others.
David this time delivers nine pieces that in his words, were ‘worked from the stillness and with a lot of tranquility…. During the recording I was influenced by some field recordings I made during a walk along a path by the sea, here in Cádiz’. I can already imagine that walk through the beautiful Andalusian port city, steeped in a thousand-year history.
In ‘Melodías Susurradas’, as usual in the work of this Spanish musician, the ambient stamp is written with fire and soul, with those trembling and pure notes that come out of a stealthy work with modular synthesis. And although the songs are of short duration (two to three minutes), they seem to dissolve into infinity.
With each release, David Cordero shows us that his musical ideas have many twists and turns through in which his creativity expands.
