PAS se formó en Brooklyn en 1995 por Amber Brien, Michael Durek, Jon Worthely y Robert L. Pepper.
‘Flanked By Women and Pumpkins’ se compuso durante abril y mayo de 2011 en una gira que hiciera la banda a Polonia.
Desde guitarras con feedback, sonidos ondulantes del sintetizador, instrumentos de viento, variada percusión, bajo, sampleos y registros de campo, son el arsenal instrumental con el que PAS construye murallas de sonido electrizante, junto a sesiones de percusión repetitivas y ruidos abstractos.
En esta propuesta electroacústica hay temas que tienen un formato canción como ‘Telephatic Rain Race’ y ‘It is. Is it?’, sin embargo la mayoría de los temas están basados en la improvisación arrojando atmósferas oscuras y agobiantes, manteniendo al oyente expectante frente a los inesperados sonidos.

‘Flanked By Women and Pumpkins’ was composed during April and May 2011 in a tour that the band did to Poland.
From guitar feedback, synthesizer sound waves, wind instruments, varied percussion, bass, samples and field recordings are the instrumental arsenal with which PAS build electrifying sound walls along with repetitive percussion sessions and abstract sounds.
In this electroacoustic proposal there are tracks that have structured song like ‘Rain Telepathic Race’ and ‘It is. Is it?’, but most of the album is based on improvisation and overwhelming dark atmospheres, keeping the listener expectant to the unexpected sounds.
