Room2 lo componen Martin Bisi, músico, productor e ingeniero estadounidense que fue figura central de la historia musical de Nueva York en los últimos 40 años.
En 1981, ayudó a desarrollar la cultura Post-Punk, No Wave y experimental a través de grabaciones de álbumes como «On Land» de Brian Eno (1982), Sonic Youth, Swans, John Zorn, «Rockit» de Herbie Hancock, Afrika Bambaataa, Material/Bill Laswell, JG Thirlwell, Unsane, The Dresden Dolls, White Hills, Cop Shoot Cop, entre otros.
Genevieve Fernworthy aka Genevieve Kammel Morris, es teóloga y multiinstrumentista y toca bajo el seudónimo de Lauds.
Robert L. Pepper es un artista y músico radicado en la ciudad de Nueva York. Pepper abarca varias formas de arte que incluyen pintura al óleo y acrílico, películas y grabaciones de música electrónica y experimental que canaliza a través de su sello Alrealon Musique y en otras disqueras. Trabaja bajo el apodo de Pas Musique, Zoku Metsu, The Jazzfakers, Eyryx, y Limax Maximus. Ha tocado y exhibido sus pinturas en 18 países y ha colaborado con artistas como Faust, Rapoon, ZEV, Philippe Petit, HATI, Chester Hawkins, JOHN 3:16 y Jim Tuite.
“2Rooms” es un disco de dos temas y cada uno tiene una versión para radio. “Room 1” de 30 minutos de duración es un viaje de tintes psicodélicos, junto a texturas y atmósferas que comprenden una amalgama de guitarras, sintetizadores aéreos e instrumentos de viento, como la trompeta que flota por el ambiente produciendo una densa y penetrante masa sonora y arpegios de sintetizador modular que van marcando un ritmo algo discreto. En los últimos 14 minutos, el track se ralentiza y prevalecen las exploraciones de ruido de la guitarra, en tanto emergen pulsantes notas sintéticas junto a un loop de voces oscuras. Finalmente surge una capa ambiental que se funde en guitarras cristalinas.
“Room 2”, también es una pieza de 30 minutos que se adentra en los sinuosos vericuetos de los sintetizadores y la experimentación con las guitarras. Sobre la mitad del track toma una nueva forma incorporando voces y flautas que flotan en la deriva bajo el influjo de un mantra y un ambiente de improvisación, en tanto los sintes se abren paso a través de una línea ambiental inquietante.
2Rooms propone transportar al oyente a atmósferas enrarecidas y al mismo tiempo cautivantes que se despliegan como un mantra hipnótico.

“2Rooms” is a two-track album, each one with a radio version. The 30-minute “Room 1” is a journey of psychedelic-tinged and the creation of textures and atmospheres that comprise an amalgam of guitars, aerial synthesizers and wind instruments, such as the trumpet that hovers into space producing a dense and penetrating sound mass, along with modular synthesizer’s arpeggios that mark a somewhat discreet rhythm. In the last 14 minutes, the track slows down and explorations of guitar noise prevail, while pulsating synthetic notes emerge along with loops of dark voices. Finally, an ambient layer based on crystalline guitars emerges.
“Room 2” is also a 30-minute piece that delves into the winding twists and turns of synthesizers and guitar experimentation. About halfway through the track it takes on a new form, incorporating voices and flutes that drift under the influence of a mantra in the context of a space of improvisation, while the synths make their way through a disquieting ambient line.
The trio 2Rooms aims to transport the listener to hazy and at the same time captivating atmospheres that unfurl like a hypnotic mantra.
