Conocemos la música del artista audiovisual y diseñador gráfico residente en Berlín Peter Prautzsch, a través de su segundo EP “Vor der Stadt” (PalacMusic, 2007), con su propio nombre.
Ahora con “Clairvaux EP” bajo el alias de Palac (también como DJ), Palacmusic acaba de editar “Clairvaux EP” que consiste en cuatro temas y, en septiembre próximo, se edita también por el mismo sello su primer álbum “Ghosts”.
El tema que abre este EP, “The Ocean at Coney Island”, consiste en registros de campo del sonido del mar, junto a una sección de vientos que se mueven lentamente creando una sugestiva atmósfera.
“Rafael Soto” no sale fluido dado que está acompañado de ritmos quebrados en la vena de click & cuts que están cubiertas por líneas orquestales algo oscuras que crean una bella épica.
“Tesa Music” es una suave melodía interrumpida por skips con voces en el fondo. La música es naïve, como melodías de canciones para recién nacidos.
“Kind Things Sing”, que cierra el EP, continúa desarrollando bellas melodías y ritmos cut & paste y crujientes sonidos.

We know the music of Berlin-based audio-visual and graphic designer Peter Prautzsch through his second released ‘Vor der Stadt EP’ (PalacMusic, 2007), under his own name.
Now under the moniker of Palac (also as a DJ), Palacmusic just released the ‘Clairvaux EP’ that consists of four tracks and, in September, his first album ‘Ghosts’ will come out on the same label.
The opening track “The Ocean at Coney Island” consists of a field recording of the sound of the sea, along with a string section that moves slowly, creating a suggestive atmosphere. “Rafael Soto” isn’t fluent, as it is accompanied by broken rhythms in the vein of click & cuts, wrapped by orchestral lines a bit obscure, creating a gorgeous epic.
“Tesa Music” is a soft half-melody interrupted by skips with voices in the background. It’s very naïve, like lullaby melodies.
“Kind Things Sing”, that closes the EP, continues to unfold beautiful melodies and cut & paste beats and crackle sounds.
