Esta es una colaboración entre el artista audiovisual y diseñador de sonido francés Christophe Bailleau y el cantante y compositor de folk Neal Williams.
Bailleau, que vive en Bélgica, ha estado activo desde 2004 con una discografía de seis discos, además de videos. Es más conocido por su participación en el colectivo de improvisación Arden, junto a Mitchel Akiyana, Sogar, Sebastien Roux, entre otros. En tanto, Neal Williams vive en Atlanta y es conocido por su trabajo como Possible Selves.
En “On Soft Mountains We Work Magic”, el ambient y el folk son estilos que están presentes y se unen uno al otro por la suave y grave voz que remite a la de Art Garfunkel y Leonard Cohen, además de tocar varios instrumentos como la guitarra, batería, banjo, sintetizador, timbales y melódica, entre otros. Bailleau toca el laptop, piano, guitarra, batería y registros de campo.
Ambos entregan un sonido orgánico y digital, y pequeñas formas texturizadas, produciendo exquisitas melodías y brumosos paisajes sonoros.

This is the collaboration between French audiovisual, sound designer and electronic artist Christophe Bailleau and American folk singer-songwriter Neal Williams.
Bailleau, who lives in Belgium, has been active since 2004 with a discography of six albums plus videos, and is known for his work along with the improv collective Arden alongside Mitchel Akiyana, Sogar, Sebastien Roux, among others. On the other hand, Neal Williams lives in Atlanta and is known by his alias Possible Selves.
‘On Soft Mountains We Work Magic’ blends ambient and folk, with Neal Williams’s soft and grave vocals in the vein of Art Garfunkel and Leonard Cohen, plus his multi-instrument performance on guitar, drums, banjo, synth, cymbals and melodica among others. Bailleau plays laptop, piano, guitar, drums and field recordings.
Both deliver an organic and digital sound and textured miniature shapes, producing gorgeous melodies and hazy soundscapes.
