Yanling
Yanling es una DJ y productora de música electrónica suiza, nacida en Hong Kong que se inició musicalmente en Zurich. Es residente del RSO club de Berlín para las noches del sello Raster Media, en las que despliega un techno contundente en bajos y atmósferas, inspirado en el grime y el rave, mezclando sets de techno con incursiones de electro y breakbeat.
Entre 2019 y 2023, publicó en forma independiente cuatro discos: “Thara”, “Space n Bass”, “Siren” y “Lamo”, antes de fundar su propio sello Aurora Edition, en el que ha publicado su más reciente trabajo “Cymatic”, que consiste en seis tracks en los que convergen el drone, ambient y la experimentación.
En sus presentaciones en vivo, el sonido y las visuales se complementa con la participación de un coro de cuatro féminas, creando una ambientación grandilocuente y espacial.
Desde su apertura con “Transmuted”, Yanling provoca sentir las pulsaciones rítmicas con las notas de piano, junto a arreglos de nubes de sintetizadores que amplían el marco sonoro. El track homónimo tiene amplitud y una línea melódica que gatilla lo visual por las formas que se disuelven y levitan en el espacio.

Yanling is a Swiss DJ and producer of electronic music, born in Hong Kong, who got her musical start in Zurich. She is a resident at RSO club in Berlin for the Raster Media label nights, in which she deploys a forceful techno in bass and atmospheres, inspired by grime and rave, mixing techno sets with incursions of electro and breakbeat.
Between 2019 and 2023, she independently released four records: ‘Thara’, ‘Space n Bass’, ‘Siren’ and ‘Lamo’, before founding her own label Aurora Edition, on which she has released her most recent work ‘Cymatic’, consisting of six tracks in which drone, ambient and experimentation converge.
In his live performances, the sound and visuals are complemented by the participation of a four-female choir, creating a grandiloquent and spatial atmosphere.
From its opening with ‘Transmuted’, Yanling provokes rhythmic pulsations with piano notes, along with synthesizers cloud arrangements that allow to amplify the sonic framework. The self-titled track has spaciousness and a melodic line that triggers the visual by dissolving and levitating shapes in space.
Yanling invites to settle into this experience with an enveloping, aerial sound that stirs the imagination.
